Unless you've been living under a large, dark, 5G-interfering rock for the last 12 months, you'll know that AI marketing tools are all the rage. There are even some that will attempt to run your entire lead generation pipeline with the click of a button.
There's only one problem with that.
Humans don't like robots.
We don't mind them. We use them. We appreciate automation when it makes sense. But we don't like them. In the realest sense of the word. They're not our friends. They don't care about us. They can't fully connect with us. And therefore, we can't fully connect with them.
Your marketing needs soul
We often tell our clients that your marketing needs to have soul. It can't be devoid of feeling or emotion or life. It needs to come from the heart. Your passion needs to transfer over to your customers, so that your love for your product becomes their love as well.
And this is what AI cannot replicate. It can analyze data. It can respond to customer inquiries. It can build you a landing page. But it can't fake the existence of a soul. So don't forget that you're dealing with actual human beings. And human beings value connection, transparency, and each other.
Tools are fine, until they're not
So go ahead. Use the tools. See what they can do. But never, ever (ever, ever, ever) let them take the place of forming actual human connections with your users.
The fastest way to the bottom is often the fastest way. But if you prioritize speed and efficiency over everything else, eventually your user base will start to notice. And they won't be happy. And by then, it will be too late.
Keep your soul. Keep your customers.
Note: Not a single word of our Insight articles are written with AI. We're keepin' it real, folks.
